For Jaclyn McGuire, law was a long time interest. And at 16, an internship as a paralegal assistant further ignited her desire to pursue a law degree. Choosing a university was an equally easy choice for the Twinsburg, Ohio native. At UA, she quickly felt at home, and recognized that the opportunities available at UA would help her reach her ultimate goal.

McGuire majored in English, a degree she managed to earn in three years. Following Commencement on May 7, the Honors to Law program member and Kappa Kappa Gamma alumna will begin preparing for the next step in her journey. McGuire joins UA’s School of Law this fall, having earned the prestigious Board of Trustees’ Scholarship to cover her tuition and expenses.

Contemplating her future, McGuire says “I look forward to using the writing skills I’ve gained throughout my time at UA. I feel prepared to go to law school. And I’m committed to doing what I love.”
