Lisa Park was recruited by and offered a 2 year NSF Intergovernmental Personnel Assignment (IPA) program director position in Sedimentary Geology and Paleontology (SGP). This position is within the larger Surface Earth Processes Section (SEP) which is within the Earth Sciences (EAR) organization in the Geosciences (GEO) directorate and is for two years with a possible extension for up to an additional two-year period.
Although Lisa Park will be working at NSF, she will remain active in our community and continue to mentor three PhD students in her lab, so she will be coming back and forth from Washington DC on a fairly regular basis. Congratulations Lisa!
