There’s an easy way to double your donation to The University of Akron, and last year 238 alumni and friends did just that – without having to add to their gifts. Instead, the donors took an easy, extra step and participated in their employer’s matching gift program.
In all, 93 organizations across the country generously matched gifts to the University from their employees – and often retirees! – adding more than $110,000 to total UA contributions in 2014, with many gifts earmarked for student scholarships.
