History Professor Levin Addresses Akron's Italian-American Community

On Friday April 24, Dr. Michael Levin was the guest lecturer at a dinner sponsored by the Akron Italian-American community, the first of a new series of lectures celebrating Italian heritage. The lecture title was "What Did It Mean to be Italian During the Italian Renaissance?" Prof. Levin is the Department of History's specialist in the Italian Renaissance.
The event was organized by Mr. John LaGuardia, Executive Director of The University of Akron's Department of Development. Proceeds from the event went to support The University of Akron Italian Cultural Center and the Italian Heritage Foundation.
