The Ohio Museums Association recently honored History faculty member Christopher Kenney at its annual awards ceremony. Kenney is the Director of Education at the William McKinley Presidential Library & Museum in Canton and is the Department of History’s specialist in museums and archives education. He received the prestigious Silver Award in Visual Communications in recognition of his new book, The McKinley Years: The Life and Times of our 25th President.
Drawing from documents and photos held at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum, The McKinley Years explores the personal life, presidency, and memory of this complex American president. The Ohio Museums Association’s annual awards recognize historians working in museums who have “gone above and beyond the normal call of duty” in their profession and who educate and “serve their public and advance the cause of the museum community.”
The McKinley Years is available now at the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum and through the Library & Museum’s website.
