Chapter Bio:

The Omega Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta was installed on March 24, 1922, at The University of Akron. Guided by our Purpose, our women strive to achieve academic excellence, philanthropic giving, ongoing leadership, personal development and above all, a spirit of loving sisterhood. Together, we continually work to inspire the woman and impact the world. Our chapter motto is “Loving, Leading, Lasting”. We live out this motto by promoting the value of membership and commitment to higher education while continuing to prepare members to contribute to the world's work. For many years, we have participated in numerous community service events and also have continuously raised over $2,000 annually to achieve the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation’s Jewel Status for 15 consecutive years.  Alpha Gamma Delta also recognizes the importance of academics by promoting scholarship through the Marguerite Shepard Initiative, where our Vice President of Academic Excellence works closely with sisters to help them achieve academic success. United by our Ritual and Purpose, we grow closer in the bond of sisterhood and life-long friendship. The sisterhood of Alpha Gamma Delta enriches our members' college experiences and the friendships made truly last a lifetime
