UPDATE (December 2, 2020)

Virtual commencement ceremonies for all 2020 graduates
will become available for viewing at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12th at https://uakron.stageclip.com/.

Graduates from Spring 2020 and Summer & Fall 2020 will be recognized individually by college. Information about how you can participate in these ceremonies has already been sent to your student email address by UA’s official partner, StageClip.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!  As you prepare for your final semesters at The University of Akron, please review the step-by-step information provided here for important details regarding graduation and commencement.

All communication regarding your degree progress and commencement activities will be sent to your UA email account.

All financial obligations to The University of Akron must be reconciled prior to degree candidacy (i.e., commencement program notation, ceremony attendance and degree conferral). Also, if the University is required to modify or change commencement plans due to COVID-19 safety protocols, messages will be sent via email ASAP.

Since there is no Summer commencement ceremony, Summer graduates have the option of attending the Fall commencement ceremony in the same calendar year. Please note that your degree will be conferred at the end of the Summer semester regardless of ceremony attendance.
