Nursing leadership lecture March 23

The University of Akron College of Nursing will hold its 13th Annual Distinguished Lecture Series on Wednesday, March 23 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Quaker Square Inn (Quaker Station). A reception will follow the lecture from 4 to 5 p.m.

Joanne Disch, clinical professor and director of the Katharine J. Densford International Center for Nursing Leadership at the University of Minnesota, will speak about nursing leadership in the context of interprofessional education, practice and health care reform. In her lecture, "Raise the Voice," she will draw from her experience as an educator, chief nurse executive, researcher, leader, policy maker and spokesperson. Read Disch's full bio.
