The University of Akron invites business and IT professionals to Information Technology Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, April 22, at the UA Student Union, 303 Carroll St. IT professionals, employers, students and educators will gather for keynote speeches by industry experts, an information technology research showcase and professional networking.
This free event includes a keynote address by Dr. Sasi Kumar Pillay, chief information officer, NASA Glenn Research Center, and a presentation on software architectures by Dave Kevnick and Bruce Cady, software IT architects with IBM.
IT Day events will underscore the commercial and community benefits of innovation through scholarship and research.
