University of Akron named a Best Business School by The Princeton Review
The College of Business Administration (CBA) at The University of Akron (UA) is one of the nation's most outstanding business schools, according to The Princeton Review®. The education services company chose the school for its list, "Best Business Schools for 2021," released Dec. 8, 2020 and posted on The Princeton Review website. UA’s College of Business Administration has held this honor continually since the list’s conception in 2005.
"We recommend The University of Akron as an excellent choice for an aspiring MBA," says Rob Franek, The Princeton Review's editor-in-chief. He noted that the company chose the schools for its 2021 list based on data from the company's surveys of administrators at business schools during the 2019-20 academic year as well as data from its surveys of students attending the schools about their campus and classroom experiences.
“This is our 16th consecutive year being on this list, which speaks highly to the quality of our business program,” says Interim Dean Susan Hanlon. “The College has committed faculty, a robust curriculum and established relationships with corporations and alumni – a combination that helps to give our students stellar opportunities for learning, connectivity and success.”
The Princeton Review website profiles of the schools have sections reporting on each school's academics, student life, admissions information, and graduates' employment data. In its UA profile, students The Princeton Review surveyed remarked: "Through a diverse student body, “high competition” among classmates, and an administration willing to “change curriculum to better serve students,” the University of Akron “really prepare[s] its students to excel in the marketplace."
UA’s College of Business Administration has long been a school of choice and touts more than 500 alumni occupying C-suite (executive) positions in Northeast Ohio alone. More than 270 business professionals serve on its advisory boards, ensuring that what happens in the classroom reflects market trends and demands and that students are recruited for positions at top companies. The CBA is also one of only 876 business schools among 16,500 worldwide to gain accreditation in business from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
