TubaChristmas-1000

A gift to the community from the University and E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall, TubaChristmas returns for a 38th year on Saturday, Dec. 9. There will be two performances — at noon and 2:30 p.m.

Magical and musical, TubaChristmas features hundreds of area musicians with festively decorated tubas filling the Thomas Hall stage. There will also be sing-alongs. It will all be conducted by Tucker Jolly, founder of Akron’s TubaChristmas and an emeritus professor of music at UA.

The longtime Akron holiday tradition is free for audience, $10 for performers. Interested in playing? Contact Jolly at trjolly@uakron.edu or call 330-972-8301.
