Dr. Jie Zheng to serve as Chair of the Department of Chemical, Biomolecular and Corrosion Engineering

The College of Engineering and Polymer Science is pleased to announce that Dr. Jie Zheng will be serving as the Chair of the Department of Chemical, Biomolecular and Corrosion Engineering. His appointment is effective August 1, 2021 and will last for a four-year term.

Dr. Zheng has been with the College since 2007 and has focused much of his research on the interfacial engineering between biomaterials and biophysics at the cellular and protein levels.

In welcoming Dr. Zheng to his new position, the College would like to thank Dr. Lu-Kwang Ju, who served the Department for the past year. Dr. Ju will continue his role as Professor in the Chemical, Biomolecular and Corrosion Engineering Department. The College is grateful to Dr. Ju and his service to the College.
