Twelve participating 4th-6th graders received biomimicry-based training in design and Fab Lab prototyping, which complimented traditional ecology and archaeology lessons. The camp was directed by Integrated Bioscience PhD student Carrie Buo, and funded by UA’s Tiered Mentoring Program and GALS.
Biomimicry Fellow Lamalani Siverts is co-sponsored by Avon Lake Regional Water (ALRW) and the Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM (TIES).
