Formerly Summit College, the College of Applied Science and Technology offers associate and baccalaureate degree programs in a variety of technical areas, along with minors and technical certificates in Fire/Hazardous Materials and Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice.

The College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering is at the heart of "The Polymer Capital of the world" in the City of Akron and at the University.

Founded in 1972 as Wayne General & Technical College, the facility was renamed to Wayne College in 1990. Sitting on 160 acres on the north edge of the city of Orrville, Wayne College brings the best of UA to hundreds of students.

Made up of Bierce Library, opened in 1973, and the Science &l; Technology Library, renovated and expanded in 2003, the Libraries house tens-of-thousands of documents, books and multimedia.
