Certified Peer Educator Program

Certified Peer Educators are students who help fellow students make healthy, or healthier, choices. After completing a course the educators are certified by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. Training includes:

  • Making effective change
  • Active listening
  • Crisis response
  • Bystander intervention
  • Empowering others
  • Signs and symptoms of overdose
  • Rescue breathing
  • Administering Naloxone
  • Alcohol and drug addiction
  • Gender identity and sexuality
  • Responding to disclosure of gender-based misconduct
