Biography

Mr. Chris Seitler enlisted in the Army Reserves in his 11th grade year of high school, participating in what is called split-ops training. He attended Basic Combat Training at Ft. Jackson, SC, in the summer of 2003, and then he returned home to complete high school. After finishing his senior year, he attended Quartermaster School in Ft. Lee, VA, in the fall of 2004 becoming a 92A.

In October 2005, Mr. Seitler was attached to and deployed with the 428th Quartermaster Company, which was headquartered here in Northeast, Ohio. Mr. Seitler spent 12 months in Taji, Iraq (AKA Camp Cooke), during that time he was assigned primarily to Force Protection detail (perimeter security and entry control point security) under the command of the 4th Infantry Division.

After his deployment, Mr. Seitler transitioned from the Army Reserve to Active Duty, and was stationed with HHD 2nd Chemical Battalion at Ft. Hood, TX, as the unit’s motor pool supply clerk. While there Mr. Seitler was able to witness the battalion become part of the 48th Chemical Brigade, which on 16 September 2007, became an active entity based on Ft. Hood, TX, after having been inactive since 1962.

Mr. Seitler received an Honorable Discharge in 2008, he earned an Associate of Arts from Cuyahoga Community College in 2012, and he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Criminal Justice in 2015 from The University of Akron. Currently, Mr. Seitler is work on earning an MBA from The University of Akron.

In 2013, Chris was married to his wife Melissa, who is a Physician Coding Specialist working for University Hospitals, and they reside in Tallmadge, OH.
