Sophomore Celebration Week is all about showing you how much we appreciate you, connecting you to on-campus resources, and supporting you on your path towards graduation!
New events are continually being added to Sophomore Celebration Week so be sure to check ZipAssist’s website and our social media for up-to-date information.
PRIZE DRAWING FOR AN AMAZON ECHO & GIFT CARDS!
To be entered into the drawing, sophomore students simply stop at a table at one of our events with your student Zip Card. At each event, you will see a "Sophomore Celebration" check-in sign. We'll swipe your Zip Card at each event you attend. Every swipe is an entry to win! Come to as many events as possible to increase your chances of winning!
The winners will be announced on our Twitter page at the conclusion of the week. The winners will also be notified via their UA email.

Resource Fair

Many students are unaware or forget about the services available to them here at UA. Come to this resource fair to hear about departments, services, and ways you can get involved on campus. Continually set yourself up for success!
Earn an additional entry into the raffle by completing the Resource Fair Passport.

Brighten up your wardrobe by making a tie-dye t-shirt! Each attendee will be given a free shirt to decorate.

Commuter Mingle - "Fall Fest"

Did you know roughly 85% of UA undergrads live off-campus and commute? Come meet and connect with other commuting sophomore students! Have fun painting pumpkins, making caramel apples, and playing minute-to-win-it games. Don't have anyone to go with? Don't worry - we'll make sure you make some connections and have a great time!

9 - 11 a.m. OR 1 - 3 p.m. | Various Service Sites
The University of Akron will be participating in Make A Difference Day on 10/26. You can learn more about this event hosted by ServeAkron here. Join a crew of other sophomore students who love to serve! Meet friends, eat snacks, and serve your local community! Students can choose either or both shifts based on their availability.
If you desire to volunteer, please email Taylor Ridenour at tlr61@uakron.edu by September 25th. She will register all sophomore volunteers together as one group.
FAFSA Friday

Join campus experts from the Office of Student Financial Aid and ZipAssist for one-on-one assistance with filing your 2019-20 FAFSA. Come get some free pizza!
