Important Financial Aid update regarding Summer 2023 term

The University of Akron’s Office of Student Financial Aid is making a necessary change to the federal financial aid disbursement schedule for our students.

In 2023, the beginning of the official financial aid year will move to the fall semester, instead of summer as it had been. This transition may affect the availability of some financial aid sources, including loans, accessible to you for the summer 2023 term.

The chart below provides more details about how this transition will affect student financial aid for the summer 2023 term.

If you have any questions, please contact please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid at 330-972-7032 or CHAT ONLINE.
