Biography

Dr. Carpenter is an Assistant Professor in the College of Engineering & Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering department.  He is also the program director for the Manufacturing Engineering Technology program.  Dr. Carpenter received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from The University of Akron and M.S. in Applied Engineering from Kent State University.  He received his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus in Engineering Education, from The University of Akron.  His teaching expertise is in the area of thermo-fluid sciences, in particular, fluid power engineering.  His research expertise is in engineering education and the psychology of creativity and innovation.
