Biography

Sarah Bailey is a professional voice instructor, director, acting teacher, and choreographer who holds a bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance from Ohio Northern University and a master’s degree in music performance and Pedagogy from the prestigious Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. Bailey has sung at Lincoln Center with the New York Philharmonic, with the Philadelphia Philharmonic, performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, and was a grand finalist in the Guangdong, China International Vocal Competition in Guangdong, China. She has also been a regional director and teaching artist in Akron for over 25 years. Bailey is a leader in her field of teaching young artists to hone their talents and become stronger musicians, actors, and dancers. She also worked as a teaching artist, Education Outreach Coordinator, and Director of Education at Weathervane Playhouse for more than 13 years. She served as the Drama Coach at Hudson High School and the Director of Arts and Science Programming at The Salvation Army of Akron, where she started a music, dance, visual art, and theatre company for underserved youth in Akron. Most recently she served as the Director of Education and Producer of Youth Theatre at Rubber City Theatre.
