Biography

Kayleigh Becker (she/her) is a Cleveland, Ohio native. Growing up in the east side suburbs, she received her training at Noreen Londregan School of Dance in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary. After graduating high school, Kayleigh attended the University of Akron (majoring in Dance and Psychology) before ultimately transferring to the University of North Carolina - Charlotte to receive her BA in Dance Education. While in undergrad, Kayleigh received dance department scholarships for her commitment to dance technique and related studies at both UA and UNC-Charlotte. While attending both universities, Kayleigh performed in faculty and student choreographed showcases each semester while committing her studies to focus on the physical, social, and emotional well-being of her future students. While at UNC-Charlotte, Kayleigh had the opportunity to choreograph and perform at the American College Dance Association Regional Conference and North Carolina Dance Educators Organization Annual Conference (2016), assistant teach at ACDA (2017), and attend multiple dance conferences to further her education. She has also attended the Jose Limon Summer Intensive (2017) and currently participates in Cleveland Dance Project, an 18+ dance training and performing group and professional company located in and around Cleveland.
