Daniel Coffield is a full time artist and national award winning art educator currently teaching at The Akron School for the Arts at Firestone High School. He double majored in fine arts from The Myers School of Art as well as went on to pursue his Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with Visual Arts Licensure from The University of Akron. Daniel's art is in private and public collections both nationally and internationally. His award-winning multi-media art has been exhibited across the country and in local prestigious venues such as The Akron Art Museum, The Akron Civic Theater, E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall, Spaces, The Morgan Paper Conservatory, Summit Art Space, and The National Inventors Hall of Fame S.T.E.M. School. Over the last decade as a teacher he also has been part of many community organizations and has had a hand in creating over twenty public art projects throughout Akron. His students have consistently been recognized as outstanding young visual artists being awarded prestigious national and Gold and Silver medals, National Portfolio Medals, and received multiple National American Vision Medals in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. His students also have a long history of exhibiting work at the local, state, and national levels while accumulating well over a half a million dollars in grants, scholarships, and college tuition.
