Corrosion Engineering Technology

Fundamentals

Corrosion engineers help protect everything from mobile phones to bridges and highways. They even work to protect the environment.

Corrosion Engineering Technology prepares students to evaluate corrosion of materials in the field and apply strategies for mitigating corrosion.

Career Opportunities

An individual with a certificate in Corrosion Engineering Technology can use it to enhance their work in any industry that is impacted by material degradation — including the oil and gas, chemical processing and construction industries.

Outlook

As infrastructure weakens due to time and weather conditions, the demand for corrosion engineers is high to mitigate or slow down the effects of corrosion. UA’s unique program means our students are in top demand.

Career services

Career Services helps students and alumni explore and reach career goals. They connect students to employers for internships, jobs, and careers.
