NASW Advocacy Day

On Tuesday, April 2, 2019, Dr. Melissa McCollister and her Lakewood Social Policy I MSW students participated in the Social Work Advocacy Day held at the Riffe Center in Columbus. The Ohio Chapter of NASW hosts this annual Day-of-Action to bring together social work professionals and students to influence our legislatures in both the Ohio House and Senate. They learned how to be an effective advocate and met with the state Representative's and state Senator's offices.
