Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Akron

Students in our MA/Ph.D. program participate in academically rigorous coursework and are challenged to integrate theoretical and empirical work by five core I/O faculty members who are actively engaged in scholarship and professional service to the field. UAkron’s I/O program is one of the oldest and most respected in the nation and has been ranked among the top ten I/O programs over the last 30 years.

Our students have the opportunity to take classes with graduate faculty in our Adult Development and Aging (ADA) program and Counseling program, which offers a broader exposure that is important for their graduate experience. The number of faculty and students with diverse interests allows graduate students to pursue various career and research options. The University of Akron’s strong I/O psychology brand name with I/O and business professionals across the globe provides a distinct advantage for our graduates.
