Online courses will use a variety of software and tools. You'll find accessibility statements for the most commonly used tools listed below.  Individual courses may use all of these or just some of these tools. They may also make use of tools and publisher materials not listed below.

Accessibility of Desire2Learn (D2L) Brightspace

Desire2Learn’s Brightspace evaluates accessibility levels using two sets of standards: 1) Section 508 of the United States Rehabilitation Act; and 2) the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 of the World Wide Web Consortium. D2L provides information on the accessibility of the learning environment in general and the ePortfolio tool in particular for both sets of standards: The Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPAT) for Section 508 compliance and the checklists for WCAG 2.0.

Accessibility in Microsoft Office

UA supports both Windows and Mac platforms for Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams. Information on the accessibility of the most recent versions is linked here.

Your course may implement the Panopto lecture capture system. Information on the accessibility features of Panopto is linked here.

Accessibility of Respondus Monitor
