The department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in the areas of electrical and computer engineering.
The offered degrees include Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.), Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (B.S.Cp.E) and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (M.S.E.E.). The M.S.E.E. degree also allows specialization in Computer Engineering.
Both our undergraduate programs are ABET accredited. The undergraduate learning experience is enhanced by the optional cooperative education program that provides a coordinated sequence of alternate periods of classroom instruction and employment. The graduate programs prepare students to assume leadership roles in technological fields related to the field of engineering.
In addition to the above programs, the College of Engineering also offers an Engineering Management master's degree in conjunction with the College of Business, and an Engineering Applied Mathematics Ph.D. degree in conjunction with the Department of Theoretical and Applied Mathematics.
Currently, the department has more than 20 tenured, tenure-track, and non-tenure-track faculty members with active research in all areas of electrical and computer engineering. The department receives significant funding from federal, state and private sources. Some of the recent funding entities include National Science Foundation, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Ohio Department of Development, and Ohio Department of Transportation. There are currently several fully funded research and teaching assistantship positions in the department.
