Donating Materials

Do you have something that you would like to donate to the CCHP collections? The CCHP welcomes inquiries about material donations.

Once an inquiry has been made, the item(s) or collection(s) will be evaluated by CCHP staff, based on uniqueness, relevance to the CCHP’s collections, and other selection criteria outlined in the CCHP Collection Development Policy. Celebrating 60 Years of Preserving and Sharing History

M1 Hollingworth (1).jpgAs the Archives of the History of American Psychology celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, we reflect on our very first donated collection, the Leta Stetter and Harry L. Hollingworth papers.  This collection, donated in 1966 by Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin H. Florence, contained materials from The Speyer School, established by Leta Hollingworth in the 1930s.  An unpublished manuscript of Harry Hollingworth memoirs titled, “Years at Columbia” rounded out this inaugural AHAP collection.  In the early years of the archives, red tape on the outside of a box indicated that certain materials were restricted due to privacy concerns; in this case children’s names and IQ numbers from the school were present.
