HOW TO USE THE TOOLKITS
Download and use the assets below, including PowerPoint slides for presentations and Brightspace and key messages for students to be used in class or in your department or school's social media channels. Week 1: Jan. 13-17
Welcome Back Zips !
- Join other students at Welcome Back Bingo!
- Make sure your parking permit is still valid to avoid tickets.
- If you need accommodations, be sure to meet with someone in the Office of Accessibility.
- Find a friend by joining a student organization .

Week 2: Jan. 20-24
Setting priorities for a Successful Semester
- Join other students at Welcome Back Bingo!

Week 3: Jan. 27-31
Engaging with Campus
- Attend Suit-Up Week all week long with events from Career Services to improve your college to career transformation. From Interview and LinkedIn workshops to mock-interviews and resume reviews, you will be ready to enter the job market.
- Visit the gallery in Folk Hall to see some old favorites and new acquisitions to the Myers School of Art collection .
- Celebrate National Puzzle Day with the Akron Postcard Club at The Cummings Center for the History of Psychology. Download the PPT slide

Week 4: Feb. 3-7
Check in with one another
- Are you OKAY? Connect with available resources to assure mental, physical, and financial health.
- Feel safe on campus by being part of 5the greater campus and community.
- Visit the Counseling and Testing center to assure ongoing mental health.
- Set out to reach your fitness goals by heading to the Student Rec Center. Download the PPT slide

Week 5: Feb. 10-17
Planning for your future
- Check in with youracademic or faculty advisor for support.
- Visit the for connections to internships, jobs, and careers. Career Services and Student Employment
- Need an internship? Find opportunities at the UA Internship & Career Fair on February 12th.

Week 6: Feb.17-21
UA is home to a variety of arts & entertainment
- This week in the School of Music you can see student recitals, celebrate Black History Month, or enjoy Brass Night.
- Did you know the UA Dance program has an innovative partnership with Joffrey Ballet School?
- Come see how the world could be. Welcome to Hadestown, where the future could change with just one song.

Week 7: Feb. 24-28
Zips take care of their body and mind
- The counseling and testing center offers self help, counseling services in person and through teletherapy, emergency assistance, and testing services.
- Looking for some physical fitness? The student rec center is home to workout and recreational facilities, aquatics, club sports, and intramurals.
- If you are feeling sick, you can seek care at the Student Health center Monday through Friday 8-5.

Week 8: Mar. 3-7

- Consider the residence halls – find your best fit.
- Learn more about off-campus options.
- Check out resources specifically for commuters.

Week 10: Mar. 17-21
Get a spring in your step before you leave for break
- Prepare to register for classes after spring break by reviewing the registration checklist and meeting with an advisor.
- Visit the Behavioral Health Career Fairon Tuesday, March 18th
- Rock on down to Electric Avenue for a musical journey of the 80s MTV Experience on March 20th.

Back to the books
- Graduation application deadline, is April 1, be sure to get yours in.
- To ensure you get the classes you need, register as soon as you can.
- Think ahead about passing all your assignments by visiting tutoring services.

Week 13: Apr 7-11
Resources you need
- Foodbank PopUp Pantry w/Campus Cupboard on April 10th
- Help-a-Zip is a great way to connect with a staff member for resources, guidance, and connections
- You can meet with a financial wellness coach to help you become financially fit!

Week 14: Apr 14-18
Celebrate Spring
- Visit Myer’s School of Art for the Artist lecture : Molly Zuckerman-Hartung.
- Are you graduating and planning to attend commencement? Make sure you have everything you need.
- Join ServeAkron for the Leggett Community Learning Center Easter Egg Hunt.

Week 15: Apr 21-25
Zipping to graduation….
- Visit some of the senior showcases:
- Senior Oboe Recital on Wednesday April 23rd
- Graphic Design Senior Exhibition Friday April 25th
- Spring Opera April 25th and 26th
- Be the first in your class to join the Alumni Association.

Week 16: Apr 28 - May 2
Resources as you prepare for finals
- Need a quiet place to study? Reserve a study room.
- Make sure you know when and where your exams are.
- Get tutoring help.
