Scholarships and financial aid

The University of Akron offers thousands of scholarships. Scholarships are offered through:

• the Office of Student Financial Aid, 
• the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences (see below), 
• the schools and departments that compose the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences (see below), and
• the Graduate School.

College scholarships are available to students who have been accepted into their program in the College of Arts & Sciences. They are not available to Pre-Admit students in the college. These scholarships are administered by the Dean's Office of the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences:

• the Charles E. Bulger, Ph.D., and Esgar Bowen Foltz, M.D., Endowed Scholarship
• the Judith A. and Roger T. Read Scholarship Fund in the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences
• the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Scholarship
• the Pauline Franks Endowed Scholarship for Exceptional Students in the Fine Arts
• the Dr. Linda L. Moore Endowed Scholarship Fund in Fine and Applied Arts
• the Marna Darst McGrath Endowed Scholarship in Social Sciences
