John Zazo is a percussionist and composer from Akron, Ohio. He completed his bachelor's degree in percussion performance at the University of Akron in 2019, where he focused on contemporary chamber music and Trinidadian steel-band performance and arranging. Johnlater studied composition, music theory, rhythmic ear training, and music history with American composer Stuart Saunders Smith in preparation for his graduate studies. In 2023, John completed his master's degree at the University of Hartford under Professor Benjamin Toth, where he refined his technical foundation and chamber music skills.
