Welcome to Dr. Foster's Website
We hope the information provided here helps you better understand the research interests in Dr. Foster’s group and the projects currently underway.
Current research projects include:
- Thermodynamics and dynamics in blends of polymers that differ in molecular architecture (e.g. star and linear chains)
- Properties of the surfaces of pressure sensitive adhesives
- Adsorption of proteins to well-defined surfaces
- Surface behavior of polymer brushes
General research interests include:
- Structure and dynamics of polymer systems, especially in thin films and near interfaces
- Novel X-ray and neutron reflection and grazing incidence scattering
- Scanning probe microscopies for surface characterization
