Here are some answers to questions you may have about your Adult Learner Orientation process.
Adult learner orientation is online! You can complete the short course by logging in to Brightspace with your UANet ID and password. If you need assistance with either credential, please send us a quick message at nso@uakron.edu. Please include your full name and birthdate for assistance!
Placement testing is almost always required for adult learners and is required to be completed before course registration and academic advising. You will receive notification of placement test requirements via email. If you have any questions, send a message to nsotesting@uakron.edu for assistance.
You can find information on how to complete each test here. When both tests are complete, please send a quick email to nso@uakron.edu to let us know that your testing is complete.
The orientation hold will remain on your account until you meet with your academic advisor. During that meeting, you will register for courses and the hold will come off.
Before meeting with an advisor, you must have completed your online orientation and all placement tests. If those tasks have been complete for a week and you still haven’t heard from an advisor, please let us know by emailing us. We will check in on your file and send you an update!
