K-12 Programs: Experience Business prior to college
The College of Business offers a variety of K-12 programs for students who are interested in accounting, economics, finance, management, and marketing. We believe that students should be provided with opportunities to engage in and experience business beyond traditional classroom settings.
2025 College of Business ASPIRE Camp
For students entering grades 9 through 12
The College of Business at The University of Akron is excited to be offering a summer program for high school students interested in learning about business. This interactive and immersive opportunity allows participants to explore the dynamic world of business. Participants will gain practical knowledge, leadership skills, and the confidence to navigate real-world business challenges.
Program Highlights- A week-long team competition with scholarships and prizes for the winning team.
- Opportunities to make real financial and marketing decisions through business simulations and projects.
- Daily networking with business leaders and mentors.
- Hands-on experience with real-world problem solving in a college setting.
- Leadership and team-building activities.
- Opportunity to provide work-based learning credit/certificates.
- Dates: June 9–13, 2025
- Time: 9:00 AM–3:30 PM daily
- Location: The University of Akron College of Business (259 S. Broadway, Akron, OH 44325)
- Cost: $200 per student (Early bird registration)
Students will leave ASPIRE with a certificate of completion, enhanced leadership and communication skills, and exclusive invitations to future UA College of Business events. Additionally, members of the winning team will be awarded scholarships to the University of Akron.

High School Visits to the College of Business
For students in grades 9 through 12
Are you interested in providing your students with an enriching educational experience? Bring your high school class(es) to The College of Business for a hands-on tour of our world-class facilities and engaging learning opportunities!
Our tailored program accommodates groups of 20-40 students in a two-hour format. During the visit, students will participate in hands-on activities within our state-of-the-art labs and institutes, fostering interactive learning experiences. We can customize the topics covered to align with the specific needs of your business classes.

Are you ready to inspire your students with real-world business insights? Invite a seasoned business professor to your school to ignite students’ passion for business and entrepreneurship.
