Certified wedding and event planner training program offered

A certified wedding and event planner training program, presented by The University of Akron’s Workforce Development and Continuing Education Division, begins next month.

The blended online and classroom course will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on campus, from April 12 to June 7. No class will be held May 31. The program covers business organization, client relationship management, budgeting, vendor relationships, contract, marketing, trends, etiquette, themes and design. The $795 course fee includes textbook and materials, CDs, online access, testing and national wedding and event planner certification from the Wedding Planning Institute.
