Open Kayaking

  • All participants must complete a waiver prior to participating. Waivers are kept on file for the duration of the semester. Participants under the age of 18 must have a minor waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.
  • All participants who are not active SRWC members must pay for each session attended.
  • All participants must sign in for each session attended and wear the issued wristband.
  • Participants under the age of 18 must wear a life jacket (PFD) and follow all Youth Membership policies. It is recommended that the supervising parent/guardian be an experienced paddler.
  • Personal boats are permitted. All boats must be clean and free of debris.
  • Participants who use a spray skirt must be able to demonstrate an effective and efficient wet exit while using the skirt.
  • No swimming or diving. Wet exits with an immediate effort to return poolside are allowed.
  • No bumper boats, paddle splashing, horseplay, etc.
  • Boats are not permitted on the water before 8pm.
  • All participants must be out of the ONAT facility by 10pm.
  • All participants must follow posted pool rules and all instructions given by SRWS staff.
