Business Law/JD Accelerated, BBA

Two degrees in only 6 years

The accelerated Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Business Law/ Juris Doctor (JD) degree is designed for students who wish to focus on business law. To be successful in the business world and inform decision making, it is important to maintain a strong working knowledge of the law. The combination of business administration and law allows key players to provide certainty and stability in their organizations, to protect the public, and to create avenues to resolve business disputes. A business can buy and sell property, utilize mechanisms of legal recourse, enter into contracts, hire and terminate employees, and negotiate with other entities; therefore, a background in business law prepares professionals to handle every sector of business, including but not limited to labor relations, finance, management, entrepreneurship, and more.

Students admitted under the program fulfill their senior year of undergraduate credits through the successful completion of their first-year law school courses, allowing them to graduate with both a bachelor’s and law degree in just six years, saving a year of tuition and related costs, and they begin their legal careers a year ahead of time.
