Established in 2000, The Richard L. and Elisabeth A. Hurley Scholarship for Excellence provides tuition assistance for students involved in The Bliss Institute programs at The University of Akron. Mr. and Mrs. Hurley believe that an understanding of the functioning of our government and its constitution are fundamental to our rights and responsibilities as citizens.
This scholarship is awarded to one outstanding female undergraduate student associated with the Bliss Institute. Selection for the Hurley Scholarship is made by the faculty. Potential winners are selected from the Ray C. and Ellen P. Bliss Scholarship application pool.
