SiteImprove Overview

Fixing errors on our website gives a better experience for our visitors, improves our results in the search engines, and helps improve overall the performance of the site.

What is SiteImprove?

SiteImprove is a third party tool used to identify broken links, spelling errors, and accessibility issues.   This online tool also helps the webeam with site-wide issues - and helps monitor keys areas of the UA website for performance.

How does it work?

SiteImprove does a scan of the entire UA website every week and looks for any issues or errors.  It then produces custom reports for site editors and highlights problems with our pages and content.

Getting started

Send a message to web-team@lists.uakron.edu with your UA email address and the /folder/ (or /folders/) you would like to review in your report.  These reports can send to multiple people in your department, if needed.  The Webteam will get your account set up and send a "welcome email" to help you set up your password in SiteImprove.

From there, you'll get a weekly email with a quick overview on your /folder/  - and have the option to log in to SiteImprove for more detail on any errors the system found.
