REU: How to Apply

Submit Application Materials by February 9, 2024.
Awards will be announced after this deadline and will continue until all positions are filled.

Interested students should submit the following materials:

Complete this online survey: REU Application Questions
Email the items below to polymerreu@uakron.edu:
- Letter of Application/Personal Statement clearly stating field of interest, with your name and email address at the top.
- Copy of transcript(s) - (Unofficial (the no-cost-to-you-version) is fine to start. We'll ask for an official transcript if we send you and offer letter.)
Request two letters of reference:
- Letters should be from an easily-contacted professor or supervisor who has knowledge of the student's scientific skills.
- Professors should email their letters to polymerreu@uakron.edu, using their university/employee email address.
Be sure your name is at the top of your personal statement!
