The Office of Multicultural Development extends a special invitation to you as part of your New Roo Orientation experience. Join us for ADVANCE JumpStart New Student Orientation, an overnight on-campus excursion at The University of Akron.

What is ADVANCE?

ADVANCE JumpStart New Student Orientation is a program designed to acclimate diverse and historically underrepresented students to UA campus and culture. • Hang out on-campus with other diverse and historically underrepresented students and make friends before classes begin.
  • Learn important skills for success during your first year at UA.
  • Meet staff who will help you through your college experience.
  • Learn about Learning Communities offered by the Office of Multicultural Development that you can join to help you connect with other students taking the same classes.
