The University of Akron’s Part-Time MBA Program and School of Law have made the 2018 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings. UA’s Part-Time MBA Program offered by the College of Business Administration is among the top 130 business schools and the highest-ranked such program offered at a public institution in Northeast Ohio. UA’s School of Law ranks among the top 135 law schools in the nation.

“We are excited to be listed as one of the top programs in the country,” says Ravi Krovi, dean of the College of Business Administration. “We understand how busy working professionals are and have developed part-time programs that are flexible and rigorous to benefit them and their careers. A distinctive feature is the applied emphasis of the program and connections to local business leaders.”

UA’s graduate business program has the second largest part-time MBA enrollment in the state, and has also been ranked by CEO Magazine and Bloomberg Businessweek. More information is available online.

“This latest ranking is further affirmation of the excellent legal education available at Akron Law,” says Sarah M.R. Cravens, interim co-dean. “Add this to impressive rankings for our intellectual property law program, for preparing prosecutors and public defenders, for bar preparation, as well as outstanding results in advocacy competitions on the national stage, and it’s clear to see why we are considered one of the nation’s top law schools.” More details on Akron Law are available online.

The graduate program rankings are based on the opinions of experts about program excellence as well as statistical measures of faculty quality, research output and student achievement. Data are collected from statistical surveys sent to administrators and from reputation surveys sent to academics and professionals.
