Ratan K. Mishra, a Ph.D. student of Prof. Hendrik Heinz's research group in Department of Polymer Engineering, in collaboration with Prof. Robert Flatt at ETH Zurich, has received the "Best Short Presentation Award" at the 13th International Congress on Cement Chemistry in Madrid, Spain (July 2-8, 2011) for his work entitled "Cleavage Energy of Tricalcium Silicate and Interactions with Amine Additives". It is one of three awards, each of which was honored with EUR 800.00.
The conference hosted more than 900 attendees and is one of the world's leading conferences on construction materials.
