Statement from the University about County Executive Russ Pry

After learning about the passing of Russ Pry, the Summit County executive, the University’s Interim President, Matthew J. Wilson, released this statement.
"On behalf of The University of Akron, I want to express deep sorrow at the news of the passing of County Executive Russ Pry. He was a dedicated and exemplary public servant as well as a strong supporter of the University. The University was honored to recognize his accomplishments by presenting him with a Distinguished Alumni award in 2014. His steady hand will be sorely missed throughout the University and the entire community."
