  • Air Force Summer Faculty Fellowship Program (SFFP)

    The Air Force Office of Scientific Research Summer Faculty Fellowship Program (SFFP) promotes communication between research faculty and Air Force research scientists and engineers. The SFFP provides an opportunity for hands-on exposure to Air Force research challenges through eight to twelve week research residencies at participating facilities for full-time science and engineering faculty at U.S. colleges and universities.

    Those who receive the award may also have the opportunity to bring a graduate student to participate in the fellowship as well. The SFFP offers a competitive stipend and daily expense allowance. Relocation allowances are available. U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply.

    Potential fellows are encouraged to contact an advisor at one of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Directorates, the U.S. Air Force Academy, or the Air Force Institute of Technology. A list of advisors can be found on the program website.

  • NASA Glenn Summer Faculty Fellowship Program (NGFFP)

    NASA John Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, is accepting applications from full-time, qualified STEM faculty in accredited US colleges and universities, for the summer 2012 NASA Glenn Faculty Fellowship Program (NGFFP). The ten-week Fellowship starts on Monday, June 4, and ends on Friday, Aug. 10. The opportunity is open to US citizens. However, US permanent resident faculty members who are interested analytical/fundamental research will be considered. Under-represented faculty at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) are highly encouraged to apply.

  • Office of Naval Research (ONR) Summer Faculty Research and Sabbatical Leave Program

    The Office of Naval Research (ONR) sponsors the Summer Faculty Research Program (SFRP) for U.S. citizens who hold teaching or research appointments at U.S. colleges and universities.

    This program is intended for US citizens who hold teaching or research appointments relating to science and/or engineering at U.S. academic institutions. A competitive stipend, relocation and travel allowances, and a pre-program site visit are offered. The application deadline for the 2012 Summer Faculty Research Program is December 5, 2011.
