Earn your master’s without leaving your day job. The University of Akron College of Engineering offers a non-thesis master’s degree option that allows you to complete your master’s in engineering part-time, in the evening and online.

Degree requirements differ slightly for each discipline, but in general, require successful completion of 10 to 12 courses within the field including an advanced mathematics class, and development of an engineering report.
How to Apply/Admission Requirements
Applications for the program may be completed online. Materials needed include an undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent, an undergraduate transcript with GPA (2.75 overall or 3.0 for the last 2 years), three letters of recommendation and a statement of purpose. The GRE examination results may be waived by the home department for a student with a degree from an ABET accredited institution, except in the case of the Engineering Management program.
