CPSPE Welcomes NPIC Instrumentation Scientist

Dr. Andrew Knoll is joining the UA community as an Instrumentation Scientist for the National Polymer Innovation Center and will be overseeing much of the spectroscopic characterization equipment.

He is a recent graduate of The University of Maryland where he studied Materials Science and Engineering specifically looking at how cold plasma sources interact with polymer and catalytic surfaces. Prior to that he studied Energy and Environmental Engineering at James Madison University in Virginia where he focused on earth-abundant, non-toxic material options for solar cells.

Andrew and his wife Katie are relatively new to the Northeast Ohio region and are excited to explore the area with their two dogs.

Please join us in welcoming Andrew to our college!
