July Safety Focus: Old Chemicals and Samples Disposal

In an effort to reduce the amount of chemical samples left from previous students and no longer needed, we are repeating our safety focus from October 2017.

Need more storage space? Here is your chance to dump old samples and chemicals that are no longer needed, unknown who they belong to or have deteriorating containers. All you have to do is print and fill out the attached form. Bring the items with the completed form to the designated location on the scheduled dates. Do not transport chemicals across campus. Only chemicals from the building that is scheduled for drop off will be accepted. Ex.) NPIC labs cannot drop off at Goodyear or Olson.

We will accept unknowns if:
Characterized, PH, solvent or aqueous

If you have any questions send me an email or EOHS Dr. Mike Debord at mad151@uakron.edu
