Akron 360 Social Event Promotes Polymers at UA

Last week, the College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering hosted a social event on the 11th floor of the Goodyear Polymer Center. Despite the driving rain at the beginning of the evening, around 20 interested students came to have a slice a pizza and Zippy cookie, enjoy the view of the Akron skyline, and learn more about polymer science and polymer engineering at UA. A number of graduate students were on hand to demonstrate electrospinning, show 3D printed objects, and talk about their research in areas ranging from biomimicry to advanced batteries.

Please stay tuned for more Five-Star Friday events hosted by the College. Next up is a tour of the National Polymer Innovation Center on Friday, September 14th from 2-3 pm.
