Don't just survive... thrive!
The College of Engineering and Polymer Science is committed to the success of our students. We want you to excel while you are here, and we have put programs in place that will create a learning environment where all students will not only survive but thrive. We encourage you to take advantage of these resources.
Our advisors help guide you along your academic journey, as well as connect you to the best resources to help you both in your personal and academic needs.
These living learning communities help freshman with the transition to college life. You can live with other students in the same college major; or meet in small group settings where students meet regularly but are not housed together. We offer major specific Learning Communities to students in computer information systems, cybersecruity, and engineering programs.
Our student led tutoring focuses on your academic success in the college. Tutors will meet with you individually or in groups to help increase your understanding of the subject.
Women in Engineering creates a community and connections aimed towards encouraging and growing the amount of women succeeding in this degree and college.
I.D.E.A. creates a welcoming community for underrepresented students and promotes the importance of equity, inclusion and excellence in the college.
You're able to apply what you learn inside the classroom to an outside project. In our experience, students who get involved with on-campus organizations, are more committed to their success here at UA.
If coding is your thing, we have a group for you. If you are a natural leader and like connecting with other students, hosting events, and meeting engineers in the field, check out Engineering Student Council.
